Jane lives with her single mother and four siblings. The fathers of the children are absent; one passed away, and the other is currently in prison. They reside in a deteriorating mud house, and Jane's mother, who is partially handicapped, shoulders the responsibility of providing for the family under challenging circumstances.
The two older boys in the family take on significant roles in helping out, whether it’s sourcing food, fetching water, or finding ways to earn money for their survival. Despite their efforts, the family struggles to afford sending Jane to school without external assistance.
Jane is now part of the YES Uganda program and is excelling in school. We are thrilled to witness her progress and are eager to see the bright future ahead of her.
