Alex lives with his elderly grandmother in the village, Both of his parents have passed away. The same grandmother is caring for five other orphaned grandchildren. She sustains herself by cultivating seasonal crops for sale at the local market.

Alex's cousins, are already part of the YES Uganda program. Recognizing the challenging circumstances and the family's need for support, Alex's grandmother requested that he also be included in the program.

Now, Alex is a part of YES Uganda and is thriving in school, embracing the opportunities it provides.
